There are so many fun things to do in Cozumel

   

SCUBA DIVING Cozumel’s reef is the second largest in the world, making it one of the     most popular locations for divers and one of the few places in the world where you can do blackwater diving.

Mayan people walked  from Chichen Itza to Tulum and cross over to Cozumel to worship Ix Chel goddess of midwifery and medicine.


GFNY https://cozumel.gfny.com/  it takes place in November every year. you can participate in a ride that you will never forget through the breath-taking sights as it goes  all the way around the island, or cheer them on as an spectator.


IRON MAN https://www.ironman.com/races/im-cozumel a two-transition course that starts with a single-loop swim in water that is teeming with tropical  fish within the protected waters of the Reefs of Cozumel National Park. The 180-kilometer three-lap bike course takes competitors  along the spectacular coastline beaches, resorts and through the town of San Miguel de Cozumel with local supporters and bands playing traditional Mexican  music, creating a festival-liked atmosphere. The finish line is at the city hall square in San Miguel de Cozumel, which is withing walking distance.


SHOPPING of course is a favourite time. cruise liners stop here for that specific reason Cozumel’s most  varied shopping area is around San Miguel’s town square and extends for about 8 blocks along the waterfront.  The Cinco Soles on the north end of the street has beautiful and high-quality souvenirs from all  over Mexico.


PUNTA SUR ECO PARK https://cozumelparks.com/punta-sur/ is an ecological  reserve covering an area of 247 acres of sandy beach, coral reefs, a lagoon, and some Mayan ruins.  The lighthouse has a small but interesting  nautical museum. Visitors can climb to the top for amazing birds eye views.


CHANKAANAB https://parquechankanaab.com/es/  (In Mayan Chan means small and Kanaab means sea).Cozumel’s National Marine Park.   The flora, fauna and marine life were declared a protected area in 1980, The natural lagoon in the centre of  the park  focused on environmental conservation offering a variety of activities such as a botanical  garden, with 350 species of tropical plants corals, fish and crustaceans. 


COZUMEL ISLAND BEACH CLUB https://www.islandsbeachclub.com/ on the north side offers great food and service with all sorts of activities plus excellent snorkelling.
